A Relationship Requires Conversation

Scripture:
“In the morning, Adonai, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my needs before you, and wait expectantly.” — Psalm 5:3 (CJB)

Reflection:
Look at that sunrise—the stillness, the calm, the beginning of something new. That’s what each morning offers us with God: a fresh opportunity to connect.

Relationships don’t grow in silence. If you never spoke to your friends, never checked in, never shared your heart—would those relationships even exist? Of course not.

Yet sometimes, that’s exactly how we treat our relationship with God. We go about our day, handle our struggles, make our decisions… and never pause to speak with Him.

God desires more than occasional acknowledgment—He desires relationship. Real relationship. The kind built through daily conversation, honesty, and presence.

Morning is powerful because it sets the tone. Before the noise of the world steps in, before responsibilities pull at you, there is a moment where it’s just you and Him.

And in that moment, you’re not just talking—you’re building something.

Encouragement:
Start your morning with God, even if it’s just a few minutes. Speak to Him honestly. Thank Him, seek Him, listen for Him.

Because just like any meaningful relationship, the more you talk, the deeper it grows.

Don’t let your relationship with God become distant through silence—draw near daily, and you’ll find He’s already there, waiting.
