Alone Time vs. Isolation
Scripture (CJB):
“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Yeshua got up, left the house, and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.”
—Mark 1:35 (CJB)
Reflection:
There’s a holy difference between choosing alone time and drifting into isolation. Jesus often withdrew—not to escape people, but to commune with the Father. His solitude was purposeful, prayerful, and renewing. Isolation, on the other hand, pulls us away from community, accountability, and encouragement. One fills the soul; the other quietly drains it.
Encouragement:
If you feel the need to step away, let it be an invitation to pray, listen, and be refreshed—then return strengthened to love and serve others. God meets us in the quiet, but He also calls us back into fellowship. “Two are better than one” (Ecclesiastes 4:9). Choose the kind of stillness that leads you closer to Him and back to His people.
