“We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” – Numbers 13:33
What you believe matters — not just about God, but about what He says about you.
In Numbers 13, the Israelites stood on the edge of promise. God had already told them the land was theirs. But when they saw the giants, fear shaped their belief — not faith. And that false belief changed the entire outcome of their lives.
Barbara reminded me this morning, “A belief, whether true or false, will change the outcome of your life.”
And that’s exactly what happened in the wilderness. Their belief limited what God could do through them, not because God lacked power, but because they lacked trust.
God is not limited, but He allows Himself to be held back by our unbelief.
As believers, we must die to self daily, as Jesus taught — not just our sinful desires, but also our fear, our pride, our false beliefs, and our need to control.
We must wake up each day and choose Him — in our thoughts, in our reactions, in our decisions. When we say, “I believe You, Lord,” we’re not just giving Him control — we’re stepping into the promises He already prepared for us.
Faith isn’t just about trusting that God can move mountains. It’s about trusting that He can move through you.
So today, ask yourself: What belief am I holding onto that’s limiting what God wants to do through me?
