Consistency
Scripture:
“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm and immovable, always doing the Lord’s work, because you know that in union with the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:58 (CJB)
Reflection:
Are you consistent in prayer? In pouring into others? In serving?
Or do you only step in when you feel like it?
If your spiritual life feels like you’re trying to hold a glass of water on a roller coaster, there’s a reason. Up and down. Round and round. One day full, the next day empty. One week on fire, the next week distant.
That instability usually isn’t because God moved.
It’s because we did.
Consistency is what builds strength. It’s what builds intimacy. It’s what builds trust. You don’t develop deep roots in Christ by occasional emotion — you develop them by daily surrender.
Walking with Christ isn’t a weekend event.
It’s a daily decision.
Wake up.
Die to self.
Pray whether you feel like it or not.
Serve whether you’re seen or not.
Love whether it’s reciprocated or not.
That’s where stability comes from.
Encouragement:
Get off the roller coaster.
Stop living by feelings and start living by faith. Show up every day. Even when it’s quiet. Even when it’s hard. Even when no one applauds.
Consistency doesn’t create perfection — it creates growth.
And growth, over time, becomes fruit.
Stay steady. Stay faithful. He is.
