We spend so much of our lives asking God, “What is my purpose?” We usually think of something we’ll accomplish while we’re alive. But what if, for some people, the greatest impact of their life comes through their death?
Jesus knew from the beginning that the cross was His mission. Through one death came the opportunity for eternal life for all who believe. His death looked like defeat, but it became the greatest victory in history.
Throughout history, the deaths of faithful men and women have stirred hearts, strengthened faith, and pointed countless people to Christ. Their lives mattered, but so did the way they finished their race.
We don’t seek death, and we don’t glorify it. We cherish the life God has given us. But we also trust that God is sovereign enough to use every chapter of our lives—even our final one—for His glory.
You may never know how your faithfulness, your testimony, or even the way you face death could lead someone else to life in Christ.
“Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” — John 12:24
