Finding God in the Lows
Too often, we wait until we’re on the mountaintop to start praising God — when things are finally looking up, when the storm has passed, when the weight feels lighter. But the truth is, we need to seek and praise God in our lows, not just our highs.
Scripture reminds us:
“If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.” — Psalm 139:8 (CJB)
Even in the darkest valleys, God is present. He’s not just the God of victory; He’s the God of endurance, of mercy, of presence. When we carry our burdens instead of surrendering them, we prolong the valley. But when we look for Him — truly look for Him — we find He’s been walking beside us all along.
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.” — Psalm 23:4
The valley is lined with mountaintops, but sometimes we wander there longer than we should because we try to lead ourselves instead of following our Shepherd. Don’t stay lost, my friends. Let Jesus guide you out. Praise Him in your lows — because that’s where His presence shines the brightest.
