From “I Will” to “Your Will”

Too often our lives are filled with “I will, I want, I think.” But true transformation begins when we shift our questions to the Father: “Lord, what do You want? What is Your will? What do You think of my life?”

When we surrender the “I” and invite the Holy Spirit to lead, we stop living for the world and start living in the Spirit. Remember, once we accept Yeshua as our Lord and Savior, our place in heaven is secured. The old is dead, the new is born. From that moment on, our calling isn’t to merely wait for heaven—it’s to bring heaven here.

Christ Himself said, “If anyone wants to come after me, let him say ‘No’ to himself, take up his execution-stake day by day, and keep following me” (Luke 9:23 CJB). His path was not easy—it was marked by suffering. And He warned that those who follow Him would suffer even more. Yet, what a glorious suffering it is, for it means we walk His road and reflect His light.

I choose joy, even in trials, because I know who I am, and more importantly, I know whose I am. Every challenge is either strengthening me or proving that I stand with Christ—and if the world hates me for that, then I know I’m on the right path.

So today, instead of saying “I will,” ask:

“Father, what is Your will for me?”
