God Answers, But Are You Prepared?
“Not one word of all the good promises that the Lord had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.” — Joshua 21:45 (CJB)
God keeps His promises. Every single one. But too often, we pray expecting instant results, as if God were a genie rather than our Father. We sit idle, waiting for something to fall from the sky, when in truth, He may be waiting for us to move.
Sometimes God’s answer is “wait.” Sometimes it’s “not yet.” But other times, His answer is already in motion — we just haven’t taken the steps to meet it. Proverbs 6:6 reminds us, “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider her ways and be wise.” The ant doesn’t sit still. She prepares, gathers, and works diligently, even when no one is watching.
God doesn’t bless idleness. He blesses faith in action. If you’re praying for wisdom, open your Bible. If you’re praying for a stronger marriage, take time to love, serve, and listen to your spouse. If you’re praying for financial provision, be a good steward with what He’s already given you.
Grace and mercy are gifts, freely given. But growth, wisdom, and success come through obedience and effort. Faith without works is dead (James 2:17).
So today, ask yourself — what are you praying for? And what are you doing to prepare for the answer God is already sending your way? Because if there’s no labor, there can be no fruit.
Get up. Stand up. Step out.
God’s promise still stands — but He’s calling you to move toward it.
