God Can Do Anything—But We Must Be Willing to Change

Scripture (CJB)

Romans 12:2

“In other words, do not let yourselves be conformed to the standards of the ‘olam hazeh (this world). Instead, keep letting yourselves be transformed by the renewing of your minds; so that you will know what God wants and will agree that what he wants is good, satisfying and able to succeed.”

Reflection

We often say that God can do anything—and that is absolutely true. His power has no limits. He restores, heals, redeems, and makes new what once seemed broken.

But many times we ask God to change our circumstances while we continue walking the same path that led us there.

God’s power is not the problem—our willingness to change often is.

We cannot keep walking in the same direction and expect to arrive somewhere different. If we want a new destination, we must be willing to take a new path. That is what transformation looks like. God begins renewing our minds, correcting our direction, and guiding our steps.

The Lord may open the door, but we must walk through it.

He may show us the path, but we must choose to follow it.

When we surrender our habits, our pride, our fears, and our control, we make room for God to do His work in us and through us.

Encouragement

Ask the Lord today:

“Is there a path in my life I need to turn away from so I can follow the one You are calling me to?”

Sometimes the greatest miracle God performs is not changing our situation—but changing us.

When we allow Him to transform our hearts and redirect our steps, we begin to experience the life He has always intended for us.
