God Can’t Steer a Parked Car

Scripture:
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 (CJB)

Reflection:
There’s a time to be still — and a time to move. Too often we confuse silence with stagnation. We wait for a sign, a voice, or a perfect condition before taking that first step, but faith doesn’t always come with a road map. Sometimes God is simply waiting for us to put the car in drive.

Discernment is knowing the difference — when to rest in His presence, and when to move forward in His purpose. Sitting in silence before the Lord is powerful, but even in stillness, our hearts must stay in motion toward Him. Silence is meant for listening, not parking.

Encouragement:
When God says, “Go,” don’t overthink it — move. When He says, “Be still,” don’t run ahead — trust. Faith isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about being willing to move when He says move and rest when He says rest. Remember — God can’t steer a parked car. Start rolling, and let Him guide the way.
