Make Sure Your Busy Is God’s Busy and Not Your Own
Scripture:
“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
— Matthew 6:33 (CJB)
Reflection:
In a world that celebrates being busy, it’s easy to fill our schedules with things that look productive while slowly drifting away from the things God actually called us to do. Not every open door is from God, and not every opportunity is meant for us to carry.
Sometimes we become so consumed with building our own plans, chasing our own goals, or trying to prove our worth that we leave little room for God’s purpose. We can be active in many things while becoming spiritually disconnected from the One who matters most.
God never asked us to be busy for the sake of being busy. He called us to be faithful, obedient, and available. There is a difference between doing things for God and doing what God actually asked you to do.
Before filling your calendar, ask yourself:
Is this drawing me closer to God or distracting me from Him?
Is this producing fruit for the Kingdom or simply feeding my own ambition?
Am I walking in purpose or just staying occupied?
When your busy becomes God’s busy, your work has peace, your serving has purpose, and your life begins to reflect His will instead of your own.
Encouragement:
Slow down long enough to hear God clearly. Let Him direct your steps, your priorities, and your time. A life surrendered to God will always accomplish more than a life driven only by personal ambition. Stay focused on His Kingdom first, and trust Him with the rest.
