God’s Plan vs. Our Plan
We all have visions for our lives, careers, families, and ministries. Yet, as you pointed out, when obstacle after obstacle keeps standing in the way, it may not be a sign to push harder—it may be God gently redirecting us. His plan isn’t always the easiest path, but it’s the one that bears fruit and peace when we walk it out faithfully.
Satan thrives in confusion and inner conflict. He wants us at war with ourselves—doubting, second-guessing, and exhausting our strength on battles we were never meant to fight. But our God is not a God of confusion; He is a God of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom, clarity, and strength.
When we face those closed doors or endless hurdles, the key is not to fight harder in our own strength but to surrender in prayer:
“Father, not my will but Yours be done. Show me the path You have for me, and give me the courage to walk it.”
When we do this, we exchange striving for His guidance. We step out of our own way and allow God to lead.
Remember this: Our enemy fights against us, but our God fights for us. (Exodus 14:14 – “Adonai will do battle for you. Just calm yourselves down!”).
