Grace for the Fallen
“since all have sinned and come short of earning God’s praise” – Romans 3:23 (CJB)
We are reminded today that even our pastors, leaders, and closest friends are human. None of us are beyond temptation or failure. When a leader stumbles, it can feel heavy, but it is also a call for us to respond the way Christ has taught us—with grace, forgiveness, and prayer.
The reason Jesus went to the cross was because we all fall short. Every single one of us. Galatians 6:1 reminds us, “Brothers, suppose someone is caught doing something wrong. You who have the Spirit should set him right, but in a spirit of humility—keeping an eye on yourselves so that you won’t be tempted too.”
Let’s not let the enemy use these moments to plant seeds of division or doubt. Instead, let’s stand united in Christ, praying for our pastors, our friends, and for each other. We all have people in our lives who stumble—and truth be told, we all stumble ourselves. The gospel is not about perfection but about restoration.
So today, choose grace. Extend forgiveness. Cover others in prayer. Because the same Jesus who forgives us calls us to forgive and lift up those who fall.
