Life Grows in the Dirt
Scripture:
“Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies, it produces a big harvest.”
— Yochanan (John) 12:24, CJB
Reflection:
We all want growth without the mess. We pray for fruit, strength, and purpose—but we resist the dirt: the trials, the failures, the waiting, the uncomfortable seasons where nothing looks beautiful. Yet Scripture reminds us that life doesn’t grow on the surface. It grows when something is buried. God often uses the very places we try to escape to produce the deepest roots in us.
Encouragement:
If you feel like you’re in the dirt right now, don’t mistake that for being forgotten. You may be planted, not punished. Stay faithful. Stay surrendered. What God is growing in you beneath the surface will soon bear fruit in ways you couldn’t imagine.
