Quit Acting Like an Orphan—You Are a Child of God

Scripture:

“So you are no longer foreigners and strangers. On the contrary, you are fellow-citizens with God’s people and members of God’s family.” — Ephesians 2:19 (CJB)

Reflection:

Too often, we live like we’ve been abandoned—striving, fearing, doubting, and trying to earn what has already been freely given. That’s the mindset of an orphan. An orphan believes they are alone, unprotected, and unloved.

But that’s not your identity.

Through Christ, you’ve been adopted into the family of God. That means you are chosen, covered, and deeply loved. A child of God doesn’t beg for acceptance—they live from it. They don’t walk in fear—they walk in authority, knowing who their Father is.

When you continue to think like an orphan, you limit what God wants to do in and through you. You hesitate, shrink back, and question your worth. But when you step into your identity as His child, everything changes—your confidence, your decisions, your peace.

Encouragement:

Today, stop agreeing with the lie that you are alone or unworthy. Lift your head. You belong to the King. Walk boldly, pray confidently, and live fully in the identity God has already given you.

You are not abandoned. You are adopted. 🙏
