Renewed in Spirit
Scripture:
“Put off your old self… and be renewed in the spirit of your minds.”
— Ephesians 4:22–24 (CJB)
Reflection:
Renewal is not a single event — it’s a rhythm of grace. Each day, God gives us another chance to shed what no longer serves His purpose in us. The world wants to define you by your past — your failures, your regrets, your habits — but Christ calls you by your future. He says, “Behold, I make all things new.”
To be renewed in spirit means to surrender yesterday’s mindset — the pride, the doubt, the bitterness — and to clothe yourself in His truth. Like changing a garment, you must take off the old before putting on the new. You can’t walk in freedom while still wearing chains of the past.
Renewal doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when we align our thoughts with His Word, invite His Spirit to search us, and choose transformation over stagnation. As Paul wrote, “Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)
Every sunrise is a divine reset — a reminder that His mercies are new every morning. What was heavy yesterday doesn’t have to weigh you down today.
Encouragement:
Let go of what drains your spirit and make room for what strengthens it — His Word, His presence, His peace. Don’t wear yesterday’s pain when God’s offering today’s grace.
Step into the day renewed — clothed in His righteousness, filled with His Spirit, and walking in His light.
