There is a difference between preparing and worrying.
Scripture:
“Don’t worry about anything; on the contrary, make your requests known to God by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving.” — Philippians 4:6 (CJB)
Reflection:
Preparing is an act of wisdom—using what God has given you to be ready for what lies ahead. Worrying, however, is carrying what was never yours to hold. Preparation involves trust in action; worry reveals fear trying to take control. One is rooted in faith, the other in doubt.
God calls us to be diligent, but never anxious. You can plan, work, and move forward responsibly without allowing fear to consume your thoughts. The moment preparation turns into restlessness, sleeplessness, or constant “what ifs,” it has crossed into worry.
Encouragement:
Prepare with purpose, but release the outcome to God. Do your part faithfully, and trust Him with the rest. Peace comes not from having all the answers—but from knowing the One who does.
