Trust in Him, keep your eyes on Him, and you will stay above water.
Scripture:
“Kepha got out of the boat, walked on the water and went toward Yeshua. But when he saw how strong the wind was, he became frightened; and as he began to sink, he cried out, ‘Sir, save me!’ At once Yeshua reached out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, ‘Such little trust! Why did you doubt?’” — Matthew 14:29–31 (CJB)
Reflection:
Peter didn’t sink because the storm was too strong—he sank because his focus shifted. As long as his eyes were on Yeshua, he was doing what should have been impossible. The moment he started looking at the wind and the waves, fear crept in, and he began to fall.
How often do we do the same? We step out in faith, but then life hits—problems, pressure, uncertainty—and suddenly our focus moves from God to the storm around us.
Encouragement:
Keep your eyes on Him. Not on the situation, not on the noise, not on what could go wrong. Fix your focus on Yeshua. Even when you feel like you’re starting to sink, He is right there—ready to grab your hand.
You don’t stay above water by your strength… you stay above water by your focus.
