What’s Holding You Back?
Scripture:
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but of power, love, and self-discipline.” — 2 Timothy 1:7 (CJB)
“I can do all things through Him who gives me power.” — Philippians 4:13 (CJB)
Reflection:
If you’re honest with yourself… what’s really holding you back?
Not the surface answer—but the root.
Is it fear of failure?
Fear of rejection?
A past mistake that still whispers lies into your present?
Or maybe it’s comfort… the quiet trap of staying where things feel safe instead of stepping where God is calling.
Here’s the truth: the enemy doesn’t always need to stop you—he just needs to delay you. If he can convince you to hesitate, doubt, or feel unqualified, he can keep you from walking in obedience.
And the longer you sit in that place, the more it begins to feel normal.
But that is not who you are.
When you are in Christ, your identity is no longer tied to your past, your pain, or people’s opinions. You are a child of the Most High God. You are covered, called, and commissioned.
Yet many believers live beneath that calling—not because they lack authority, but because they haven’t fully stepped into it.
We allow fear to speak louder than faith.
We allow comfort to outweigh calling.
We allow the temporary to override the eternal.
And in doing so, we give power to things that were never meant to rule us.
The truth is—you already have what you need.
God has not called you and then left you unequipped.
He has placed His Spirit within you.
He has given you authority over the things of this world—not the other way around.
So the question isn’t “Can you do it?”
The real question is “Will you trust Him enough to step into it?”
Because breakthrough doesn’t happen while standing still—it happens when you move in faith, even when you don’t feel ready.
Encouragement:
Today is the day to stop giving power to what’s been holding you back.
Lay down the fear.
Release the doubt.
Break agreement with the lies that say you’re not ready, not worthy, or not capable.
Step forward in obedience—even if it’s just one step.
God doesn’t need perfection—He’s looking for willingness.
And when you move, even in weakness, His strength meets you there.
You will begin to see doors open, confidence rise, and purpose unfold in ways you never thought possible.
Because with Him—truly—all things are possible.
