Thought of The Day

You weren’t meant to live in the wilderness

May 11, 2026, 5:58 AM

You weren’t meant to live in the wilderness… you were only meant to pass through it.

Scripture:
“Adonai your God has been with you. You have lacked nothing.” — Deuteronomy 2:7 (CJB)

Reflection:
The wilderness season is real. It’s the place where faith is stretched, comfort is removed, and dependence on God becomes necessary instead of optional. But too many people begin building homes in places God only intended to be temporary.

The wilderness was never Israel’s destination. It was a place of preparation, growth, correction, and trust. God used the wilderness to shape them, but His promise was always beyond it.

Sometimes we stay stuck in old pain, old mindsets, old failures, or old fears because the wilderness becomes familiar. But familiar does not mean fruitful. God does not call us to camp forever in the valley of hardship. He calls us to keep walking with Him through it.

Your struggle may be part of your journey, but it is not your identity. Your season of testing is not your final address. God is still leading, still providing, still opening a path forward even when the terrain feels dry.

Don’t unpack where God told you to travel through. Keep moving. There is promise on the other side of obedience.

Encouragement:
If you feel tired, discouraged, or lost in the wilderness today, remember this: God did not bring you this far to abandon you here. The wilderness may shape you, but it will not define you. Trust His direction, keep your eyes on Him, and continue forward one step at a time.
